In its first generation, it was equipped with low-range gearing and V6 engine, 4 wheel drive system, and it provided seating for five adult passengers. But, plenty of improvements were made to the initial models to overcome the shortcomings.
Current Suzuki Grand Vitara
The 2010 Suzuki Grand Vitara’s Base and Premium models are designed with 2.4-liter engine, which produces up to 166 hp and 162 pound feet of torque and it is also equipped with 5 speed manual transmissions. This model is available in four different styles: Xsport, Luxury, Base and Premium.
The premium and base models are equipped with side curtain airbags, complete power accessories and automatic climate control. The XSport model has few extra items; it also includes keyless startup. The Luxury model has few standard features like leather seating.
The 4-speed automatic transmission is standard on Luxury and XSport models; these models have been developed with 3.2-ltr V6 engine, which produces up to 230 horsepower , and 213 lb feet of torque. The 2010 Suzuki Grand Vitara also comes with a GPS navigator, which is very helpful during the long trips.
